FAQ

Can I read your magazines on my Android device? My netbook? My desktop computer?

Apps from 29th Street Publishing are available on iPad, iPhone, and iPod Touch. Other devices may follow. Some apps are available on the web, such as Scratch and Bright Wall/Dark Room.

How can I learn what the app is like before I subscribe?

Our apps are free to download and include free trial subscriptions and at least one complimentary issue.

What are your other apps?

We have so many apps out there that we're sure there's something for everyone. Food! Sports! Music! Poetry! Books! Bikes! Politics! Faith! Fiction! Comics! Art! Stories with only 100 words in them!

Can you tell how we feel about our titles? WE ♥ THEM. And we're constantly working on more! Stay tuned and follow us for announcements.

I wish my favorite writer had an app like that!

I’m a subscriber but I can’t view issues without purchasing them. What should I do?

On the “Back Issues” or “Library” page, go to “Already a Subscriber” and then tap “Restore Apple Subscription”  — this will restore your subscription and your purchases, including any individual issues you’ve purchased.

If this doesn’t work, try deleting and redownloading your app. Next, go to the “Back Issues” page, go to “Already a Subscriber” and then tap “Restore Apple Subscription”.

If this does not resolve the problem, please send an email to support@29.io and we’ll help you figure out what’s going on.

I downloaded an app, but I can't find it on my device.

When you download a magazine app from the App Store, it goes into a special folder called the Newsstand. It looks like this. Tap on this folder to find your publication. 

How do I cancel my subscription?

1. On your iOS device, go to Settings.
2. Tap iTunes & App Store.
3. Tap your Apple ID and enter your password when prompted.
4. Under the Subscriptions menu, tap Manage. This will only be visible if you have any subscriptions, and if those subscriptions were purchased via the App Store Newsstand.
5. On the next page, you will see your subscriptions. You can cancel them from here.
